Time to Vent!

Alrighty... It's Monday... Wait it is Tuesday... Yucky!
Anyways, I need to vent. Ha... what's new? I'm very disappointed when I'm asked to be some place and the people you are meeting can't wait for you to eat. There have been MANY times we have waited for others, yet the ONE time we are late because we were told the wrong time...it doesn't seem to matter! I guess we are not valued or very important to others. Tyler and I are almost always on time to meet people. It is just so rude to be late! I understand it happens, but honestly should not be made a habit. Anyways, I have decided I will not be upset by this anymore. I can't change others! Though, I will not wait around for others to be places when they should be. When you live 10 mins away and can't be some place on time... well that's a personal issue! When we can drive 40+ mins and be somewhere on time... that is simply sad! I'm sorry... it's sad! I realize I'm not perfect, though this has really bugged me!

Anyways, it is going to be a super week! Why you ask...
1. My Sweet Momma is turning the BIG 5-0
2. Jeanne is coming to town for the weekend!
3. I leave for Alaska next week with "Cool" Gramma! :)

So it has been a great week really.... and now it is FRIDAY again! I leave in 3 weeks for Alaska and Canada with Gramma! I can't wait! TWO WEEKS for playin' , drinkin' and lookin' at pretty things! I'm soooooo excited! Can you tell? We will take a helicopter ride, train ride in the mountains and hangout on a cruise ship! :)

Life is a "TWO WAY" Street... :)

I'm going to vent a little.... :)
I find myself really bothered by those who do not seem to believe life is a "two way" street. You treat others as you wish to be treated... etc. I'm tired of those who really don't seem to care about others, yet the few times you are around them.... they put on a really nice "show" for you. I'm worn out by those I try to be kind to and make the effort to show them I do value them in my life. I've decided to take more of a passive role towards those family and friends who seem to make little to no effort in keeping in contact with others. I will always be friendly, though no longer will invest my time and efforts in those who show nothing in return. I can not change others, which is hard to understand. I guess it will remain a mystery as to why it is so hard to call someone or email for that matter.

I now feel so much better! :)

Grad School....

Well it looks like I will be starting grad school at UTA in August! If all goes as planned, Tyler will graduate from UTD with his MBA and I will graduate from UTA with my MSN Spring of 2011! I don't know that I will stop with just my MSN... I haven't figured out all I want to do just yet! Anyways... Sorry if you don't hear from the Martins for a little bit. :) Hope your week is going super! With Lots of Hugs, Tyler and Mel... Shiner too!

Monday Margaritas with Momma!

So... My Mom and I have started having a Margarita Date EVERY Monday evening! It seems now we have to make our date or the week isn't going to be "normal" for us.
